Official biography
More than a performance.
Tori Be is an Atlanta-based vocalist, live entertainer, actor and creator whose work lives where soul, contemporary R&B and live musicianship meet. She began singing at two years old in South Carolina, then built her career across music, theater and Atlanta’s live-performance community.
Her performance credits include opening for Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar and Dottie Peoples; providing background vocals for CeeLo Green; and performing a featured duet with Mickey Thomas of Starship. In 2015, she performed before more than 30,000 people at Pier Park, Florida’s public New Year’s Eve celebration.
Her theatrical credits include A Soulful Christmas, The Cotton Club, Red Hot Broadway and Cindy, along with portraying Tina Turner in an Ike & Tina Revue in New York.
The standard
The room matters.
Years onstage shaped a performance philosophy grounded in preparation, musical flexibility and connection. Tori does not deliver the same energy to every audience; she reads the room, honors the occasion and builds a set that belongs there.
Today, she is the founder, owner and frontwoman of Press Play. As The Duchess of the South, she brings that experience into a premium entertainment identity designed for hospitality, casinos, cruise programs, festivals, corporate audiences and private clients.
